Switching from Remicade to Humira? Did it work for you?

Looks like Remicade is officially failing me. They have doubled my dose AND increased the frequency to 6 weeks, but as of today, I'm 2 1/2 weeks from my last double dose and I'm having horrible cramping again and seeing blood. I've had to take 2 pain pills today just to function.

I'm calling in the morning and I'm sure Humira is next on the list. I know there is also Cimzia and Tsaybri (sp?), but Humira was the one my GI mentioned last time I was in if this "plan" didn't work. I'm not worried about injections. I've been through 2 In-Vitro Fertilizations and having given myself my own sub-q and IM (intramuscular) injections, so none of the shots worry me, but I'm just a nervous nelly about a new drug and also the fact that "will it work?"

I tried it for 6 months and it didn't work for me. now i'm back on remicade.

Hi ! My 18 year old son just switched from Remicade to Humira as he had developed antibodies after a year and a half and on a max dose. He has had the two loading doses and it seems to be working as his ablility to eat and maintain weight has increased and his energy level seems to be improved. I was a little skeptical that it was going to work as well as Remicade had initially seemed to but his improvement already is encouraging. Good luck!!
