How did this get about sex? :) I think the original question was what are the statistics between men and women, and who gets Crohns more, women or men. Somehow it changed into sexual relations. So does anyone know what the statistics are?

Above reading mentions the big words Crohn's and Sex. It was Randy and we all found that it was just a interesting topic , just mention F and M and all we think about is the S word. Besides we all need a good giggle now and then . I just hope Randy's wife is illerate. lol gail

Sorry Nanners,

I have done many hours of research on line and other places and most of what I read seemed to indicate Crohn's is split pretty even between the genders. If I run across anything more up to date, or that I could cite and post a link, I will post again.

Sorry again, we did get off subject and take a vacation without leaving home.LOL

JohnD if you go back and read Kittikatt's original post you will see she was not asking about how Crohns affects men or women's sex lives, she was asking if there were any statistics out there showing who got diagnosed with Crohns, was it more men or women. It had nothing to do with Crohnies sexual relations.

Considering the title Statistics of Crohn's & Sex? and the mind set of the person reading it, I think it can be taken either way. OR that might just be me and where my mind happened to be when I first read the thread.

 

I only point this out to say, I'm not a COMPLETE idiot, just mostly.

No need for embarrassment. You definetly were not the only one who read it that way. I think those two rascals in your lost boys club decided the subject were better if it was about sex instead:)

Well then.......... idea in my personal experience...........in my family, my Grandmother had it, my Father has it and I have it. So the count in my family is 2 for the men and 1 for the women.

 

but about the larger picture I never really looked into it. shakehead   I'm so glad there are ppl here who actually know what they are talking about.

I am turning English prof here. the way I read this question, kittkatt is asking which gender has more crohns or is more effected by it, not who wants sex. maybe I am really confused, but could you come back on kitt and explain so we are answering the right question?? yp

No I have no idea as to men verses women in the matter of who gets diagnosis of crohn's more often.
