Believe it or not, I'm still waiting for the hospital to get back to me about this Lupus thing!!

A couple of weeks ago, they told me to discontinue Humira, and they would be in touch with regard to what happens next...

I don't think I've ever been put on the back burner for so long.... My joints are getting worse, and my general health is pretty lousy.

One saving grace though, my CD seems to be behaving so far. I'm now into my 7th week without Humira, just as well, seeing that
they don't seem to want to get back to me. I think they could use a swift kick in the you know where....

While you are waiting, you could try taking turmeric capsules. Turmeric has useful anti-inflammatory properties as well as antibiotic effects. It is often sold in combination with bromelain as a joint pain remedy, so it may be just the thing for you. One caution - if you have D, it may cause the "ring of fire" effect if it is passing through the gut too fast.

Can you get your insurance company to help you out with the hospital? Some insurance companies have patient advocacy groups that can get involved. I think I would be ready to smack someone upside the head. I've been waiting to hear from my doctor about a test for 2 days and I'm getting pissed, if it went into weeks, I would go ballistic.

I hope you hear something soon.

Hi Vicky I'am with Suzanne here don't like waiting for results either but in my case maybe I should just enjoy the wait. Sure are taking awhile how long did they say it would take/ Did you get blood work to test for it? lol gail

I recently heard someone was diagnosed with lupus who really had a B12 deficiency. Best wishes!

Hi all, the nurse called this pm, apparently one of my docs came back from vacation on the 29th. Now the other one is out of town
this week. She said, that when she hears something I'll be the first to know about it...

How comes I feel I'm still being given the run-around....

You know what they say, if it quacks like a duck... you feel like you're getting the run around because you are. You must have nerves of steal. I would be a wreak by now. Best of luck in your wait.

Zanne, I really don't have nerves of steel. I have had enough, but what else can I do. I really don't want to change doctors
in the middle of all this!!

Hi Sniper, aside of the usual tummy ache from pancreatitis, I feel extremely fatigued. My joints are hurting real bad, where they
didn't before. I guess you could say a general malaise. I find it hard to put into words or to even try to describe it. All I know, is,
my body is definitely telling me there's something wrong!!!

How are you my friend? I saw some horrific photos of the devastation left by Gustav, they were e-mailed to me, otherwise I would not
have had a clue. It seems, that TV didn't think it was necessary to show us all. My heart goes out to all you guys. LOL
