epidural injection

does anyone know if it is safe to get a cortisone epidural injection is you have chrons. I have been in remission for one year, and want to make sure it is safe and will not send me into a flare. I have spinal stenosis and need to get some relief from the pain.  The injection is a very stron antinflamtory, and I know that we need to stay away from them.The safest thing would be to call my GI dr. but the thought just came to me tonight.

I have had an epidural too. It had no effect on the Crohn's. It is after all cortisone. When injected into a specific place, it doesn't move far from that point. It pretty much stays where it's put. That is why they inject it. It doesn't have tot ravel through the body. Being cortisone, even if it did travel through the body it would only help the Crohn's. So, no worries!
