Has anyone taken 6mp through there whole pregnancy

I took 6mp the whole time I was pregnant and now have an 8 month old baby. I was reassured that taking 6mp did not cause any problems. My son is 8 months old and has an extremly large white birthmark on his back called an Ash Leaf macule or spot. He also has a narrowing in his air way. He is going in next week to be put under to see what is going on with that. I dont know if the meds have anything to do with this. I was just wondering if there are any other mothers who have taken 6mp while pregnant the whole time and if there children have any issues? Thanks for replying back  blush

I was unable to take 6mp while pregnant as it caused me to have severe headaches for some unknown reason. After giving birth to my twins I began taking it again and have been nursing for 11 months. They are healthy and happy in every way possible.

I do know how easy it is to blame our medication. I took asacol while pregnant with my 2nd son and he was born with hydroseal and I asked everyone under the sun if it could have been from asacol. And the answer from all medical experts was NO! My pediatrician laughed at me! He said his son had it and his wife did not take asacol. Ask for reassurance from everyone. I am sure you will find that the 6mp caused absolutely no harm to your baby. You may even find other children who have this problem and most likely their mothers never took 6mp.

It is a natural instinct to blame anything wrong with our children (especially when they are infants) on something we have done.

I hope you find the answers you are looking for and I hope all turns out well with your little one.

I took Imuran during my entire pregnancy with my 3 year old and she's been very healthy. I was on Humira for my whole pregnancy with my 5 month old and Imuran for part of my first trimester and she's very healthy too, other than a stubborn tear duct that we can't get to open up completely.

Everything motherhood-related is just filled with guilt..............
