the good, the bad, and the mediocre.

The good. Kerry and I got married -- don't know if randynoguts posted anything. He showed up, looking good, I might add. Mom thought so, too, before you haul off and negate me. This was a few weeks ago. It's just taken me a little to get things back up and running around here, with the name change stuff (that's a nightmare, it really is). I was more tired than I thought I would be after everything was over. I don't know how those bridezilla types make it. I guess maybe it's because I'm older than a lot of people when they get married. I'm okay with things not being perfect down to the little detail, and most stuff is just a bunch of little details. All we really cared about was that people enjoyed themselves, and having family and friends all in one place so we could spend some time with them. That part of it came off pretty well, so we were happy. Even as low stress and simple as I tried to keep things, though, I was still *wiped* afterwards. (no flares though -- yay me!)

The mediocre...is just that. The bed frame broke. There's a light out on one of the cars. Stuff that isn't major, but sure is a pain in the butt to deal with. Which has all been piling up the last few weeks while I've been trying to get name change stuff done and get started with a new job and get the Avon up and running (and back up and running after I took the campaign that would have been the week of the wedding off). Figuring out what the heck we're gonna do for dinner tonight. As much as I like to cook, I'm going to have to clean the kitchen first, and I just can't seem to get motivated.

The bad would definitely be the arthritis this year! We went wet and chilly in about two seconds this year, and I have been stiffer than I can remember being for a good long time. This new job of mine comes with some bennies (excellent ones at that!), so finally, I'll be able to get it together with the family doc and he can test me for rheumatoid and lupus like he's been wanting to. We all kind of doubt that's what's going on, but he likes to have his bases covered, and I'm cool with that. I have too many risk factors going on to not test for those things. On the other hand, I really did beat the crap out of my joints for a lot of years, and you can't do that and not pay for it eventually. So that's where I'm at.

Every time I stop in here, there are so many names I don't recognize (and thankfully, kinda, in a weird way, quite a few that I do). Makes me sad to think there are so many being diagnosed with this, and yet glad that folks *are* getting diagnosed and treated and everything. And also glad they're finding Healingwell, God knows this site and the message board have bailed my sorry butt out a few times. Take care all...I know I don't stop in as often as I ought to, and don't post anywhere near what I should. But...no news is good news.

And yeah, it'll be nice to get that testing done. As I said, I'll probably find out what I've known for years -- all the tiny joints in your hand and wrist were not meant to take the abuse I dished out, and they've just gone on strike. Such is life. :P No regrets, really. Just please pass the pain meds. I can get by on aspirin and sometimes pamprin really helps, but there are days when it's just ugly. Pamprin also helps with the weird back spasms that started a few months ago (those may be a job for the chiropractor). I think it does something to relax the muscles. Kerry's taken it for muscle spasms, too, and says it helps.

I suppose it's flu shot season again, as well...any word out there I oughtta be up on regarding shortages or anything?

Lamb,,,I thought about it , but was trying to be nice.....I am sure it was a defective bed frame,,evil grin.

Congrats Sara.  I hope you and Kerry have a long, happy life together. 

Might want to invest in a better bed though... 

hey sara, i did not mention the nuptuals cause i did not want to be the spoiler! hey its your news.. so now that you did, yes i went, (wife had to work) and a good time was had by those in attendance. lots of food! mostly homemeade mexican types. enchilada, and tamales etc... all made by the families. and some gut friendly stuff for people like me! so congrats and good wishes!

Congrats! And I love how your groom had his hand is his pocket! My husband did that too, and my cousin's husband. She pulled his hand out though and whispered to 'stop that', but it was in a church with good acoustics and everyone started laughing. That was sixteen years ago and they still haven't lived that down! May you have a very blessed marriage!

GREAT NEWS, GL!!! with all the material you provided here, from you being stiff to the bed breaking, and randy looking good ...........i really had to restrain myself, as i'm sure sniper did too. so i'll just add my and jane's congrats, too. and wishes for a long and prosperous life together. i knew you had changed jobs, but could you refresh me on what it is now? is it related to what you were doing before with the mountain dwellers?
