Is soy a no no for Crohnies? Just wondering because I noticed something wierd the other day. I only eat breakfast at home on Saturday's & Sunday's, because during the workweek I don't eat until I get to work, to avoid any emergency bathroom visits. But my husband found this oil that has alot Omega's in it, but it is soy based.
I noticed on Saturday that I woke up feeling great, no tummy problems, nothing. But after I ate breakfast that my husband had cooked using a small amount of this oil, my stomach got really upset.
I should explain that I eat like two breakfasts on the weekends. When I first get up I eat a small quesadilla and 1/2 banana to put something in my stomach to take my meds. These foods never upset my stomach. But after I ate the second breakfast a couple hours later, my stomach has been getting sick. So yesterday I asked my husband to use another oil (Canola oil) we had in the house, so after eating with this other oil, my stomach was okay.
Do soy based products bother any of you?
