Hi. I am post-op for 2 months and I'm wondering if its normal to have numbness around the incision
Thanks in advance

Resection surgery in early May/2008, numb scar.
Maxilofacial surgery in 1985, still have numb spots on my jawbone, chin and lower lip.

My scar is 23 yrs old and still has numbness. It's natural. No worries.

I asked my surgeon about
it, he said nerves get severed and sometimes new connections are made, sometimes they aren't, and not to worry about
it

It took about
a year for all the feeling to return near my incision. It can be rather uncomfortable when the nerves are growing. My skin felt raw like it had been burned off and was sooooo sensitive to the touch, even clothing was painful.
