*hugs* I'm rapidly getting off Pred right now because of it's evil side effects...

I hate Pred, but at times, you are right, it is a necessary evil.

I hope the GI comes up with something to get you through....hang in there.

crap...I'm not sure I've experienced remission...unless you count the week long period of time where I didn't have to potty every five minutes...BUT had C...so whaddya know? I'm sorry for you Nanners. You're always such a great person to hear from in a post, I hope it works out better for you.

Thanks guys, well the Pred has already kicked in and luckily the D and spasms have stopped for now. Thats what I mean about Pred being a necessary evil for me. It works pretty quickly for me almost all the time. Dustspeck with this current flare, I think that pretty much ends this current remission. Hopefully after this Pred is done, I will return to my remission. At least I have my fingers and toes crossed hoping that's the case.

One thing I don't like about the Pred is I go from having D to feeling more like I now have C problems. Everytime I go on Pred I always have to increase my stool softners, or I am in a world of hurt. Anyone else have that problem with Pred?

hi nanners. i did notice with the pred i only had 1 bm per day and it was a little on the c side. (sea side? LOL)

i was just prescribed levsin and got officially take off precocet for my pain. my pcp thinks i am having spasms in my upper abdomen and on my right side. we'll see how that works for me.

Oh my you sound exactly like me when I flare up. I always tell people that I never get to comfortable because you just never know when a flare is going to come on.
I know how you feel about taking the predinsone. It stinks.
Of course, I will say a prayer for you.
