PAIN...what's yours like?

Take all of your descriptions and that sounds right to me and I take ultracet as needed. The pain isn't just in the abdominal regions however. It's basically everywhere else depending on some factor unbeknownst to me thus far but temporally dependent.

I get tummy pains. Pains during sex (if there's expanded inflammation). Pain in my hemmie. The joint/muscle/pains are awful. The worst really is my hand. If you could imagine a raw nerve and exposing it to air which hurts it and then taking a burning match and touching said raw nerve in tempo with my heartbeat. can't touch the pad of the thumb 'cause of it. It beats and burns with my heartbeat. My hips and back kill me too. How to explain it. So constant you want to scream 'cause it makes you feel like you're crazy. It's a dull consistent throbbing from the joint out at the hips. Soreness in ankles and knees, upper back, neck. The worst tummy pain for me is the backache that comes when I need to go as well as if I eat something very gassy. That can hurt, you can feel it traveling through the guts, and its embarrassing.

I don't have so much tummy pain as I do joint pain. Sometimes that is worse than the tummy pain. And the joint pain is the reason I take my pain meds.

Dear Kittikatt, I have had abdominal pain since I was around 8 or 9 years old, finally dx in 2004 or 2005        I have had intense abd. pain cramping sometimes dull severe ache, back and body wide pain, very tired, have had multiple surgeries and have many of the "side effects" of both the disease ie hydranittis skin, artherititis, and medication problems, also big problems with  severe adhesions, now permenantly on pain meds through pain clinic, and the ususal medications for the disease.  Pain has always been a problem with mine even when things are calm.  All my docs think this is because of adhesions-  Good luck God bless us all-mike

Horrible bloating and trapped gas are my main problems these days. It feels very much like labor pains, and it is always bad in the late afternoon and early evening. Nothing seems to help; it just takes time to get it expelled. Needless to say, it has really ruined my social life.

Mine is on the right side, beneath and adjacent to my navel. it starts at around 3 or 4 pm and gets worse until i fall asleep at night. it feels like there is ground glass in my intestine. now that i am on humira i have some days with no pain, but i have pain at least 4 days a week. it is all-consuming

I have had pain that has knocked me to my knees, but when it gets like that, thats when my daughter calls for an ambulance. Apart from that I often have abdominal pain and travels from left side to right side, hard to describe really but it hurts a lot. I guess my pain threshold is pretty good because I recently went off all pain meds to try and grin and bare it on my own. I feel im popping enough pills as it is without adding more to the list, plus the pain meds made me feel so doped up that i could barely function. take care
