I also think we should be respectful of what others eat. I always see folks saying don't eat this don't eat that. I eat what I can and avoid what gives me problems. Our diets are so individual that some can eat some items without problems and other get really sick eating the same item. Sugar may hurt one person and not another. I am lactose intolerant but can eat cheese no problem and also can eat small amounts of ice cream no problem. I just can't drink milk. So lets remember that we are all individuals and our diets many times are too. JMHO
I agree nanners to a point...when I talk about
diet I don't try to
people, I just try to encourage people to try eating as healthy as they can...common sense shows that if all you're putting in is junk then like they say "you are what you eat" and I know people are limited to what they can and can't have and I have never tried to make anyone feel bad for that, just want to encourage people that there are tons of food choices out there that are healthy. I also try to educate when it comes to lactose issues, like you said you can eat cheese, would that be the orange cheeses that you can tolerate? Because those have much less lactose in them then the white cheeses and if milk is your only issue then maybe it's the casein in the milk (a true milk allergy which differs from a lactose intolerance issue).
I hope no one misinterprets my posts/replies when it comes to food, I truly am not giving you the on your food choices, just trying to help with what I'v learned over the yrs when it comes to diet and IBD because it can have such an impact on ones health so I only share because I care.
