LOL Navy that sounds scary, the 18-foot scope, and YES, I think they did that...the single-balloon enteroscopy that goes into the proximal jejunum. Nuts!
Well, good news and bad news on the opium front...I have not had diarrhea for the past 12 hours (!!!) but I have spontaneously VOMITED twice. I don't know what that's about. I took the equivalent of one teaspoon (5 mL) and pushed it through my feeding tube, which goes into my duodenum...I remember when I first took Percocet after dental surgery I vomited and then was able to tolerate it after that, so maybe the same will happen with this stuff? Next time I try (after my next BM) I might halve the dose to see what happens...vomiting 5 minutes before my microbiology exam was not so pleasant!
