WE have used a sticky for a couple of important issues in A/P under Resources and then if ppl ask we guide them to it ...Wen's name is at the end of the thread on sticky
I think it would work but thats just my opinion...........

Could one of the mods please send Peter an alert and ask if he can make this thread sticky? I just tried to do it myself, but discovered that you can't send an alert on your own post :-P.

Very timely!  My Dr wants me to start on immunosuppressants.

Just one thing to note: I couldn't use the Imuran link, think it needs fixing up - I had to "cut and paste" the last part into the browser URL

Ivy, mucho gracias for taking the time to gather all that info. I see so many repeat questions that have already been answered numerous times, people just need to take the time to search through and do some research. Now you've made it easy to get lots of good stuff. All we need to do is to keep this thread on the front page of this forum. Thanks again!

PS I've always wondered why it is that people can find this forum, but they can't google their meds?

Thanks SO much for this link, I am on Asacol, metatexrate, and prednisone, and i still have breakthrough inflammation of my RA from crohns.  Im getting tired of being so run down, i feel like im sleeping through out the day.  The dr said that it was just the disease and the meds would wake me up.  I had no idea that metatexrate came in a injectable form, it makes SO much sense,  and i plan on asking for it when i go in this week.  Even if they end up switching me onto something else, I now know where to go to see what you guys have thought about different drugs, and how its worked for you, and the side effects.  I feel better going in the dr's office with a more knowledged insight instead of totally in the dark.

I think the list is helpful, but by the time people get to this site, they've seen all this, most of it produced by the drug manufacturers. What people come here looking for is real advice from real people who have taken these drugs. I am tired of reading the same drug manufacturer's info. I am in PR, so I know spin when I see it. I don't want spin, I want to hear from real people like me who are scared and frustrated and getting no help, information or advice from our doctors, which I know is not unusual.

Meowgirl, that's why we've provided a list of some of the best threads where forum members have given each other advice on how to cope with the meds and the side effects.

Click on the links - you'll see that most of them are written by members, not by drug company reps.

A sticky is a thread that stays at the top of the forum. You can tell which threads are sticky here, as they have a little yellow post-it icon on them.

Ivy, the link to the remicade information thread is not working (I'm reading up on it in preparation for my infusion tomorrow). It just comes up with 'no subject' and no info below. Is this fixable?

Aah. Peter said that a lot of the older pages were lost while the forum was down, so it looks as if we've lost some too.
