Hi to all, Hope everyone had a safe and blessed Christmas.

I am starting to get a little scared. In october I lost my insurance. I was on Remicade, which I havent been able to get. I have been doing ok up until a week ago. My doctor had diagnosed me with internal hemorrhoids and now I am experiiencing horrible pain in my anus area. I am almost positive I have a few external ones also now(sorry to be so graphic, dont know how to sugar coat this) I am hurting all the time there and in my stomach. I am nauseas all the time, and have thrown up quite a bit lately. I am rarely going to the bathroom but when i do, there is ALWAYS blood. Dark red, mostly on the paper but occasionally in the bowl. Sometimes I feel as if I need to go and all that comes out after 15 min of pushing, is blood. My stomach has been bloating alot, very uncomfertable, on top of the pain. I am not sure what to do, I still have no insurance. Any ideas of what is going on would be amazing. PLEASE HELP. I am really getting worried.

   Please think about getting some medical attention. Try calling your Doctors office and see if someone there can refer you to a reduced fee clinic. Sometimes the fees are based on your income. If they do not know of any,  try a Google search. Please post and keep in touch.I hope you do not live alone while you are going through this.

Hey Beca, Im not up with insurance over there since I live in Australia but I agree with Margie to try and find a reduced fee doc because the one thing that is clear you do need to see a doc. Wish I could help more but Im sure someone else will be along soon with some more suggestions. Keep us posted and take care

Hi I agree that you need a Dr. hemmie's can become strangulated so with severe pain a visit to emerg. or a Dr. might be in order.Keep in touch on this and am hoping you get some medical help. lol gail

Well it sounds like its your Crohns acting up too and not only hemmoroids. If you can get in to the doc you can at least get on some Pred, which is very inexpensive and that would at least help to quiet things down enough to stop irritating your hemi's. Hugs and good luck!

I do not live alone, But I am going through it alone. I live with my brothers family and its not something I can be open about. I am going to do what I can to get into a doctors office or just go to the ER soon because I am not sure how much more I can handle. Anyone have any eating suggestions? I am hungry but I am afraid to eat anything. Anything that will go down easy or can help move things along?

Hi Beca,

I am so sorry you're feeling so badly.  I would call your doctor now and discuss it.  I think I have heard that some drug companies provide medications free for patients who cannot afford them.  I would check into that.

If you have recently gone off crohns medication cold turkey then your symptoms could be from that, the meds so drastically effect the body that its a big shock to suddenly stop. They seem pretty severe though so you should look into how you can get your health insurance back and get proper treatment. Im sure you know to stay away from nuts and seeds, that can be a big issue and make everything much worse, control your diet and your symptoms may let up a bit.

Call the company that manufactures Remicade. they have a program that will give you free meds. Just because you do not have insurance does not mean you cannot be treated.

If you go to a hospital for emergency and then use the docs in their clinic, you can ask for reduced fee treatment.

I did that during a period when I did not have insurance and I ended up getting free surgery. Just call around and ask which hospitals have reduced fees.

In addition, why can't you go on medicaid? It is worth a try. I hope you feel better soon.

I would stick to clears until you see a doc...it is very possible you have a partial obstruction of some kind which is causing the nausea/bloating/vomiting...don't wait too long to get to a doc!
