I agree with many of these posts. The BEST WAY to feel good and lose some fat in the process is to eat foods low in starches, sodium, sugars, and fats. For 4 weeks try keeping a food log adn at the same time keep a list of foods that are no no's and Green Light.
Try not to eat :
breads, pastas, cakes, cookies and the like, ANY RESTAURANT FOOD (packed with sodium), no box dinners & frozen dinners (packed with sodium and preservatives), pop, and whatever else you think fits into these categories.
Green light foods- even for many Crohnies:
Salad- add some raw spinach, fully cooked vegetables (do not add butter or salt), fruits (no citrus or skin), lean meats like chicken breast, lean beef, some fish. Don't fry your food- don't you wonder where all that oil goes when you fry--- into your food and into your blood stream! drink plenty of Water!!!!!
What I have learned is that people don't realize how much water weight they are carrying around from too much sodium in their diet. Flush it out with water. All that fat on our bodies is also in our organs- heart, digestive system, liver, and so forth.
Try adding some mild exercise to your daily routine, listen to some soothing or uplifting music that really makes YOU feel Good! Go for a walk and gradually increase your distance and time.
MAKE A PLAN. STICK TO IT AS MUCH AS YOU CAN. FORGIVE YORUSELF FOR MESS UPS. GET BACK ON TRACK AND START AGAIN. GIVE YOURSELF A "FREE" MEAL OF YOUR FAVORITE SINFUL FOOD ONCE A WEEK IF YOU HAVE FOLLOWED YOUR RULES ALL WEEK.
WITHOUT A ROADMAP, WE WOULDN'T MAKE IT TO OUR DESTINATION. THAT IS WHY A PLAN IS KEY.
EAT RIGHT + EXERCISE = A HEALTHIER LEANER BODY
WORKIGN TOWARDS A GOAL AND DOING OUR BEST TO STICK TO IT MAKES US FEEL
STRONG- EMPOWERED
MORE SELF CONFIDENT
IN CONTROL
Boy, I feel inspired now- I think I will put on my headset and go get some exercise.
In order to lose 1# of fat a person needs to burn at least 500 more calories every day for one week. Keep a close eye on what you are putting in and make sure you are buring off more!
