I am sure many have noticed I have not been on for a few days. I have had some computer probs, but I have also been at the hospital because my Mom is very very sick. She is 83 years old and over the last 6+ years has suffered a series of strokes. She had being doing okay. She was bed bound, but would be very alert
and happy and talkative a times, but has also had some dementia going on.
Because of these series of strokes she also developed diabetes, and some kidney problems. My older brother and my sister are her main caregivers. Last Wednesday they had to call 911 because her sugar dropped extremely low, and her sodium levels went thru the roof. We didn't know it at the time, but she also has pneumonia. My Mom is now in the ICU unit, on a respirator, her body has swelled really really bad, that the water is seeping out of her skin. She is very very sick, and to be honest I believe her time on this earth is short.
We are having a meeting today at 1 pm (Pacific Time) with her doctors to discuss what we should do. I am asking all that pray, to please pray for my Mom, me and my family. Most of my siblings are all on the same page, that we don't want her to suffer, and if she can't breathe on her own and has to be sustained on a machine, we know that my Mom would not want that. But I do have one sister that I am very concerned will cause problems. But thankfully my older brother has power of attorney and can make the right decision.
I ask for prayers for my Mom, that God helps us to come together as a family and make the right decisions for her, and if its God's will to take her home with Him, for all who will be left behind with broken hearts that he be with us during this time.
I love you all very much, you are all very special to me, and consider each of you a very special friend to me. Please pray for strength for me, because my friends, my heart is shattering right now, because I DO love my Mama very very much and I am so broken right now. I want what is best for her, but it really is hard to let her go.
Thank you so much for your prayers, I will be eternally grateful to you all.
God Bless,
Gail *Nanners*
PS: If your Mom is still alive, be sure to hug her often and let her know how much you love her.
