Hello,
I know I haven't been on here in a while, lots going on.
To make a long story short, I have been to the doc's a few times now, and he seems to think that he should only look at one problem at a time, well its a little hard to do that when I have about 30 different symptoms.
Most recently, not sure if I have shared this with anyone, but, i have a urine like discharge coming from my ureter, is that what its called, lol, it has a strong odour, and most times smells like feces.
I suggested a fistula in the vagina, and he said, well "im pretty sure you dont have a fistula"
He does not seem to be worried about anything that is going on.
Ugh i hate doctors.
Yesterday, i tried on a whole bunch of jeans, and they fit so I bought them, tried a few pairs on today, and I cant even get them up past my pelvis area,sad
I just dont know what to do anymore, how can a person swell that much, from one day, I just dont get it. I am also constipated, and was thinking of taking a buscapan, to maybe relax me a bit, but not sure if that will work either.
I do not have any great deal of pain, but I am definitly swollen, and cannot go to the bathroom. Usually when I am this swollen, and I go to the bathroom eventually, I have no relief and the swelling does not go down
if anybody has any insights, this would help greatly,
ps, my joints are getting more and more sore every day, and my hands are swollen and itchy, I do not know how many more symptoms I can handle.

I'm sorry you are feeling so rotten! I know what it's like when the symptoms start to multiple. It becomes hard to sort them out.
Do you have a GYN? I think it wise that you consider a pelvic exam to check out the discharge and odor. In terms of your joints, do you have a rheumatologist? I think a lot of GIs don't or won't deal with the arthritis associated with Crohn's. It is a real problem that needs treatment. A rheumatologist is best for evaluating the problem.
As far as your constipation - hasn't your GI offered any recommendations on how to deal with it? I know my GI feels I must go at least every other day, or every third day max. He wrote me a script and insisted I take it when I haven't gone. My abdomen gets pretty distended by gas when I haven't gone.

hello, and thank you for your reply.
I have just had a pelvic exam, by a gynecologist, as well as a pelvic ultrasound, there was nothing found at all.
This is why the doc does not think that I have a fistula, because of the results.
I have not seen a gi yet, as I have yet to be diagnosed with what ever is plaguing my bodysad
I do see a Gi, in april, that is the soonest they could get me in.
I have seen a rheumatologist, who diagnosed me in 2006 with fibromyalgia, having all 18 tender points.
My tummy is always distended, no matter if i have D, or C, and If i go to the washroom, I have little or no relief.

Hi Kelly I'am feeling you with the jean thing I used to like jeans and now go the streatchies as they kind of move for fit. Have you had your urine tested? I agree have you asked your Dr. about something that would help with having BM's?Hope today will be a better day for you. lol gail

It's very possible that you have a fistula to your bladder. Are you passing air when you urinate? That's how I found out I even had Crohn's. I was always told it was IBS. hahahaha.

yes there is some air when I urinate, and it still feels like I'm urinating, when I know I am not lol, if that makes any sense at all.
My doctor is a quack, so i think im just gonna wait until something really bad happens, and then maybe he will do something about it grrrrrrrrr
oh yah, and thats what he said to me at our last appointment, that i have ibs, and i said, i have had ibs for years, well thats what you have he says, and I am like, your a quack, and I left his office.

mom1978, I wouldn't wait until it gets worse. If you can't see a GI I would see a urologist. If it is a fistula to the bladder it has to be repaired. My PCP told me to see a urologist but I was leaning to a GI because as soon as I started passing air I knew what it was even though I hadn't been diagnosed. It helps that I was informed already about this disease because of my daughter.
I called my insurance company and they made the suggestion about going to the ER and let them decide who I needed to see. I was immediately admitted and had an emergency resection within a few days.
If you are passing air after you urinate then it could very well be a fistula to the bladder. You are dumping feces where it should be. Your bladder needs to stay sterile. My suggestion is to urinate in a bath tub and see if you have bubbles. I had read that somewhere.
Are you here in the US? It seems a long time before you can get to a GI.
