How many times do you normally have a BM each day?

How many times do you normally have a BM each day? I ask because when I told my GI how many times I go, he told me to use Immodium AD. I usually go in the morning once, and then maybe another time if I eat more than usual.

thats is about how many times i go 1 or 2 sometimes 3 ... humm i wounder why he told you to use immodium ??

What is even more odd is that he told me to use 4 pills a day! lol. I did not act on his advice.

I go 1 or 2 times a day. My doctor says I'm doing fine! You have to go with your gut sometimes!!!

I can go from 5 - 20+ a day. After about the 5th time I will use Imodium.

Ok, now keep in mind that i have bile salt issues and refuse to take the Questran because I don't like the side effects. But before I started taking Xifaxan my typical day was about 12 to 15, a bad day was 20 times. I'm down to 5 or 6 and thinking that's pretty good. My doctor also told me I could take Immodium and that I could take up to 8 a day.

Before Remicade: anywhere from 2 to 8 a day.

After Remicade: 1 or 2 (usually 2) and like clockwork.

sometimes I don't have a bm at all and sometimes as much as 6-8.

I'm around 4 or 5 even with medication.

5-8. Most of them are in the morning...usually about four and then the rest after I try to go to bed...

3-5 lately, but then sometimes I might not go for 3-4 days, so who knows! No rhyme or reason anymore.....

right now mornings are by far the worst- urgency 5-6 times....actual poops maybe 3-4...rest of the day maybe 2-3. when i'm feeling good it's typcally 1 in the am...maybe 1 more during the day.

My normal is 2-3, same times of the day. But at the moment I'm having troubles so it's quite a bit more, I too have a worse time in the mornings and after I try to go to sleep. Coincidence?

Usually 10-15 times per day. Usually only once during the night.
