I am looking for a good family doc I dont have one at this time and wanted to see if anyone knows a good doc that understands crohn's. I live in the mid cities grapevine area. any help would be great.

I'm from the weatherford area....i don't know of a family doc....but i've heard of a gastroenterologist in grapevine named Dr James Weber.  He specializes in crohn's disease.  I was actually going to see him but the drive is too far for me...You can find out about him at www.tddctx.com if you are interested.  :-)

I'm in Ft Worth so probably a bit too far for you to drive for a regular doc. I have lucked out and found a primary doc that offices across the street from my GI and they have a good working relationship.

Christina - who do you see in Weatherford? When we first moved here, I went to Timothy Huggins out that way. My ins didn't have many local GIs on it. Thankfully, they do now.

I live in Grand Prairie.  It shouldn't be too hard to find a good family doctor in Grapevine.  There are so many hospitals in that general area.  Check out Irving or Las Colinas.

My GI is in Las Colinas, Dr Fernandes. He is also with Texas Digestive Disease Consultants.  I had my hospitalizations and ER visits at Baylor in Irving and were very happy with them.

Greetings. Welcome. That depends on where you are located in the Metroplex. At Presby Dallas there is a good group, where a Dr. Peter Lobe is at. BUT they are extremely busy and you will be a number. Both Dr. Lobe and another lady Kimberly Persly (I believe) are good doctors.

I prefer Presby Plano, but I do not like my current GI doc at all. I stay with him because of the hospital affiliation. Presby Plano's ER room is quick and friendly. (you don't sit for hours waiting to be seen).

Hi, I live a little far from grapevine.  It's at least 45 min. but, I would recommend looking into Baylor of Irving area.  That hospital is excellent.  I had a obgyn there thielan and he is awesome.

I live in Mckinney, I love my GI doctor Dr. Putcha.  I also have the coolest Colon and rectal surgeorn Dr. Dale Burleson, he is very compassionete for a surgeon.

Off the topic, I would enjoy some crohnnie friends in dfw.  If anyone is on facebook, please look me up. Jennifer wiltfong ranney let me know your from healingwell crohn.  We all need local support sometime with our health
