Update

For those of you I talked with and helped me so much last night in the chat room, I am very grateful....Just letting all of you know that I have no choice now but to go to the ER for my Crohns....Leaving in the next hour or so, I will let all of you know what the outcome is when I get out...Hopefully will just be an in and out situation and nothing serious...I am still throwing up blood, stomach is even more swollen than it was last night and in a lot of pain today....I will keep in touch and let you know as soon as I can....Thanks Again for all of your help last night....Margie

This sounds serious!! I hope you are already on your way to the ER. Praying that the doctors quickly find the problem and help you out!

Hi Everyone, well just got out of the Hospital yesterday afternoon from an absolutely horribly neglectful and unethical visit to the Hospital for care...What an absolute waist of time and energy it was only to come home with more problems then I had before I went in....I have no idea what to do, they didn't feed me but one meal a day of clear broth and one jello and a glass of water each and every day for the first 4 days, last 2 only gave me 2 meals of clear liquid and sent me home yesterday starved and still dehydrated all because of no insurance....what has the world come to when doctors treat you the way they do because you don't have the insurance or money....My God, they did a rectal exam in the middle of a conference room which they called a virtual room which had no privacy or bathroom/shower at all for the first 2 days of my stay.....I don't know what to do now, because I am now not only having the same problems but now also having breathing and eye problems too...the dehydration is getting so much worse for me and the hospital didn't even care and just sent me home anyways.

Unbelievable Margie, now I feel bad for encouraging you to go to the hospital...have you made an appointment with your GI? Maybe he/she can be of more help to you?

My eyes were really opened with my daughter's first (and only) hospital admission. I had visions of holding her hand, offering morale support while competent and caring doctors did their best. HA!

I'm glad you are healhy enough to have the energy to be outraged and do hope that there is some other ER you can go to. If you have a GI, hope he/she answers your call today.  

Hi Margie Glad to see you post and what did they say was causing the blood in your vomit? Gee I am sorry things went so bad for you as I know you were stressed enough before you went to the hospital.. Are you feeling any better at all.. Have you asked your pharmasist if there are any electrolyte drinks available for dehydration ? Keep in touch as I thought about you all week. lol gail

Here I am a couple weeks after my initial hospital visit, I started vomiting blood again the other day, and now it is affecting my sex life and my gums and teeth....My mouth and lower jaw are extremely sore and my sex life well forget it, hurts to bad for any right now...My doctor from 2 years ago that I  hadn't seen called me 2 days after I was discharged from the hospital says he wants to see me in his office I said I had no way of getting there or paying for the visit even if I could....He said he would not charge me and wants to see me anyways....Almost sounds like a cover up because of the neglect in the hospital...Not sure what it is all about, but the office visit won't be until March 10th and I continue to lose weight and am getting worse every day now....Have no idea what to do, just tired, weak, in pain, throwing up blood, etc.....Thanks again for all of your support, means a lot to me...Margie

Hi Margie at least that will give them some idea as to what is going on with you. Hope they can at least give you some clue as to what is going on. Your right it sure has been awhile since your Dr. has seen you try not to worry though because it is far better to get some kind of results to help with getting better. lol gail
