Hello everyone,
I am a 43 yr old female recently diagnosed with Crohn's after colonoscopy and small capsule endoscopy. I never have diarrhea, just a gnawing pain in my lower right abdomen, and pain and rectal bleeding when passing hard or large stool. My tests showed small ulcerations in my rectum, and small ulcerations in my terminal ileum. Thankfully, nothing severe.
My doctor wants me to try to oral Pentasa and Canasa suppositories, but I am afraid. I read the package insert and got a little freaked out about the thought of pericarditis or allergic reaction. I guess I'm looking for a little reassurance.
I was also wondering if anyone here takes Colace to help with hard stools?
Thanks for taking the time to help.
Angela
