I have had Crohn's since I was 5 and now am 49. I never had D with it, always had C, until my first bowel resection. Unfortunately the answers to most of your questions are it varies so differently from one indvidual to the next. I have been in somewhat remission, at least pain free, for over 3 years. There is no cure for Crohn's so watching your diet can keep it in remission without medication. It did me for over 20 years, others are not as lucky. I rarely have blood in my stool except fresh from hemmies when they are at their worse. I took Pentasa for years and had no adverse side affects yet also felt there was minimal benefit. Yes complications from this disease affect my concentration and at times I do feel dizzy. My GI believes it is a result of the chronic fatigue that often goes along with it. CD can affect any part of the digestive from the tip of the tongue to the anus. I have restless leg syndrome probably a result of the lack of nutrient absorbtion from the disease, so I have leg issues every day. If you are having eye pain, see a doctor as soon as possible. I hope this helps answer some of your questions, but like I said, each individual is affected differently and have different results from medications and other treatments. Good luck in finding the answers you are looking for.
