Private Part Cysts

Hey guys,

I am 20 years old and have been having problems with my Bartholans since I was 16 years old. I've had it marsupialised, drained and cut open about 4 times since I was diagnosed with it, but still it has not gone away. It comes every month, without fail just before my menstrual cycle is about to begin. On more than one occasion, I have had to burst it myself to get all the gunk out (I apologise to anyone who didn't need to know that); the gunk looks very much like pus and is quite browny/ yellow and often has blood in it. The doctors are just baffled as the reccurance rates of the cyst shouldn't be that frequent and they are down to almost no other options.

I've had antibiotics as well, which proved to be most unbeneficial. So, to the person that started the thead (I apologise for not knowing your name) I completely feel for you :( It is painful, embarassing and completely frustrating...

Anyone that has any advice I would appreciate it a lot... It sucks when you are 20 and don't know what the hell is wrong with you...

Just thought i'd update you all, even though i don't know you and you don't know me. I had my 5th op down there yesterday, and tey found it was a "labial abcyss". It was caused by a hair follicle and i'm not sure if it was caused by that all along or just this time... what ever they have done, i do sure hope it's the last time.
