I have posted this before, but maybe it bears repeating...
My wife is a Dental hygenist...so I have some experience on both sides of the issue.
It is very very important that you keep your dentist informed of all the meds you are taking and especially any surgeries you have.....this DD and its meds does affect many folks teeth and gums....my wife suggests that if you have the slightest problem you should up your visits/cleanings from 1 x 6 months to 1 x 3months
FWI....oral cancer is common and on the rise....Everyone needs to be checked on a regular basis....LADIES: Oral cancer in women is more common than cervical cancer.
My wife on average sees 6 patients a day...three days a week....she sees about 250 to 300 differenet patients a year. This past year she found oral cancer in at least three people 2 women and 1 man. All confirmed, all malignant...all three now recovered. early detection is the key.
