I chose Humira!

Hey everybody!

I know I haven't been online much. I was really busy studying.

I just wanted to let you all know that I chose Humira over Remicade. We started it 2.5 weeks ago. I just had my two shots this Tuesday. I get injections and I'm guessing it's less painful than the Humira pen. Humira is not as painful as I thought it would be, which is great! I didn't have any allergic reactions which is even more great!! And no rash, no itching, no side-effects on my belly besides something that looked like a tiny little bruise on the spot I got one of my shots. The only thing that I've noticed is that I feel like I've been hit by a truck for a couple of days but other than that I think I'm ok. My belly hurts after the injection and all but it's no big deal for now. Actually these last two shots (I got 4 the first time) hurt more than the first time I got Humira.

But I think I'm starting to feel better! I was really surprised at that! But I don't want to get too excited just yet hehe.

I'm choosing Humira over Tysabri, and I will be starting it in the next couple of weeks. Hopefully things will go well for both of us.

I start my Humira on Monday.  Have you had any side effects???

I started Humira in Dec and I love it. I use the pens and think they are great. The one thing you want to make sure of is that the Humira is at room temp when getting ready to inject. My 1st 4 shots were done at the drs office and we tried warming the pens for quite awhile. The first 2 shots were terrible and I am thinking what am I doing here. We waited longer before injecting the the next set and it made all the difference in the world. We sat and rolled those pens in our hands till our hands were hurting,lol, but it made a huge difference. I am not having any side effects either. Yea!!!

I haven't had any big side-effects like allergies or stuff like that that people get. I just feel exhausted for a few days after getting Humira, like I've been hit by a truck or something. I have noticed my facial skin being a bit different, drier and I think I have some really small red dots but you can't easily notice them. Oh, and I think I'm becoming hairy hehe. But no big problems really :) for now. I wish you all the luck in the world tomorrow! Just try to relax and think positive because that's really important. We're all different and you might just do fine. Good luck!!

I hope things continue to go well for you! Mine felt more painful after the first injections too..maybe psychological? Who knows...but as long as it makes you feel better :)
