Cimzia for abscess?

just got back from the GI and they want to start my daughter on Cimzia rather than Remicade, for financial reasons.  Does anyone know if cimzia works as well for perianal abscesses.  that's the only reason she needs it. 

 The digestive stuff is calmed down and she always has frequent, loose stool because they removed the ilie something or other.

So she' looking to close up the fistula and get rid of the abscess.

I had bad abscess and fistulas when I was first diagnosed, and Remicade cleared them up completely (drains and all) in under a year. I'm on Cimzia now and loving it, but I don't know how it is with abscesses. I just wanted to chime in and mention... I know financial restrictions can be a pain, but just in case...

These guys are the only reason I have been able to pay for my meds for years.

I don't know what your insurance or income parameters are, but it might be worth checking to see if they would help you with the Remicade (or the Cimzia for that matter). The drug company that makes Remicade offers financial help as well, but I'm assuming your doc already made you jump through that hoop. Remicade's manufacturers wouldn't help me because technically I "have" insurance with prescription drug coverage. It just comes nowhere near close enough to cut it!

my biggest fear is that cimzia won't clear up the abscess and fistula(s)
