Pain has always been my worst symptom, though it is prolonged and lasts even after BMs. Things I usually try for my pain: a heating pad (this one is usually the biggest help), take a warm bath, try to listen to music or watch something that will distract me a little bit, take the maximum dose of tylenol arthritis strength (even though it doesn't really touch the pain usually, unless I have a prescript
ion for something stronger, then I take that). I find that sometimes if I focus really hard breathing deeply on trying to relax all the muscles in my body and my abdomen, it helps with the pain. If these things aren't working at all and the pain is still unbearable, I call my GI and she usually tells me that if it's that bad, I need to go to the ER because that much pain could be a sign of something really serious.
Have you talked to your GI about
this or had any tests (maybe a CT?) done since this problem started? It could be a partial obstruction or something, especially considering you're throwing up (though I've gone through periods where the pain was so bad I'd vomit and I've never had an obstruction so...)
