Hey everyone

Well, I'm going in Friday for my 1st colonoscopy in 6 years.  I've had 2, but back when I was getting diagnosed.  My Crohn's typically isn't in my colon, but my GI wants to check around because I went off Humira 6+ months ago to make sure nothing is active.  I'm doing the "Moviprep" this time.  Seriously, who names these things?  In the past I've done go-forever and visicol.  I'm presuming this will be similarly unpleasant rolleyes

So, I start the liquid diet tomorrow then nothing all day Friday since my scope is in the afternoon (convenient).  Not like this will be that bad considering the flare up I had a few weeks ago, that thankfully is under control and I'm back on normal foods.

No real point to this post.  I'm sure I'll be on when I'm in the prep process and up til 3 a.m. with the scoots.  It's funny how we get used to these things.  Here's hoping for no pretty pictures.

Hi Best of luck with your scope I just had the procto and sigmoid so hoses seems like a good word for it .. at least there was not anything much going on for me and glad to have it over with .. glad to hear your eating again.. lol gail

Hi Betagirl, nice to see you here again... idea well, for us, anyway ! I'm sure you know what I mean... wink
I would be aiming for all sorts of pretty pictures - glorious reds and scarlets, no milky white at all...and no browned-off doctors because the moviprep didn't work ! turn
nono And as you run to the loo for the 25th time, remember the old Garfield cartoon saying, "No guts, no glory..." yeah (Sorry Randy, you are of course the exception. smilewinkgrin)

if all you have to do to prep is watch 'movies" that sounds like fun! ;-)

I hope everything goes well with your scope and they don't find active disease in your colon (it sucks) well it sucks no matter where it is doesn't it but I just hope it hasn't popped up in your colon or anywhere eles either.

Let us know how your scope goes, and I hope you get through your prep well too (honestly prepping is just as bad as the DD) which is why we all hate it so much...infact, it's a great way to explain our disease to people, ask them if they've ever prepped for a colonoscopy and if they have tell them that's pretty much what crohn's is like (way more violent the having a stomach bug eh).

Moviprep sounds like something I might request next time. Less to drink...anyway, Happy Hosing!

Ides - it's less of the nasty tasting stuff but equal amount of liquid. And it's as heinous as the lemon-lime golytely that I had the 1st time. *shudder* Only 1.5 liters to go :)
