I am wondering how many of you got fibromyalgia after crohns?

I just got a formal diagnosis of Fibromyalgia this past year.....

What tests did they give you?

I was diagnosed with Fibro about a year after the CD. I attributed mine to the high doses of prednisone I had to take for 6 months (even though there is no scientific data to verify this that I've seen). Steriods are know to break down muscle after long courses of taking them. They just gave me a general office neurological exam and I explained the pressure points in my muscles. Actually I used to think that Fibro was some sort of knockoff diagnosis when they couldn't find anything else. Boy was I wrong!

I too have been diagnosed with Fibro. A Rheumatologist diagnosed me but various trigger points on my body. I can tell the difference between a fibro flare and my arthritis pain, the fibro pain burns and the arthritis pain aches.

Hi styxgurl i had fibromyalgia now for almost 7 years its really painfull and causes bad sleeping problems i went through hell with it still am.

I was dx'd with Fibromyalgia in 2003, three years before being dx'd with crohn's. I was having numbness and tingling in my limbs along with severe sleep issues. The Rheumatologist dx'd after blood tests showing nothing, checking my fingernails (apparently looking for something that shows up with RA) and trigger points. Whenever my sleep schedule gets interrupted, my FMS flares! Muscle relaxers and mortrin is what I was orginally treating it with, but now I don't use anything. Stress is also HUGE at causing issues for me!

I was just DX with Fibro this past year as well..
I have CD and Pyoderma Gangrenosum as well as anxiety and/ panic issues
Seems that more are being DX with the fibro along with cd doesnt it ?
