How long (as in number of hours/days) does it take you to start feeling better from the flu like symptoms from the injection. I normally start feeling better after about
12 hours. I take my weekly shot on Sat. night at about
6pm and by Sun. morning I'm feeling better. Sunday however, is still a slow day for me and Monday's a little better. Tuesday I'm off and running again.

I'm getting flu like symptoms (I just posted this issue as well)...I was so focused on my joint pain but I was getting enormous muscle aches as well...my symptoms are lasting over a week...I finally started to feel great on friday, had my next shot on monday and today I feel like crap again...I'm hoping that now that I'm down to 1 dose, the side effects will lessen...I hope you feel better soon!

I do not get any flu like symtoms. about
3 days after my shot, I get a small amount of fatigue (fall asleep earlier than normal and have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning). Hope you feel better soon!

Hi broomhilda,
I had flu-like symptoms from Methotrexate - bad enough that I stopped taking it. Nothing like that with Humira for me. Maybe you should try a different med, if you haven't yet?
Good luck!

I take my shot on Friday nights anywhere between 7 & 9 PM. I can feel it "kick in" after a couple of hours. It makes me very tired and will last through part of Sunday. By Monday I'm ready for work.

I have never had any problems with any kind of flu-like symptoms with my Humira. I can feel wearing off though. I know when I need another shot because my joints really start hurting. I usually feel relief about
3 hours after my injections.
