I have Crohn's disease and the thing that bothers me the most about it right now is the diarrhea.  I have some stomach pains but the diarrhea is what upsets my life.  I have control issues with it and can't be far from a bathroom.  This makes life hard when I have a 26 month old at home that just loves the outdoors and going to the park near our house (with no bathroom) or riding her bike all over.  I can't do it because I only have seconds to find a bathroom when it hits.  How do others deal with this issue?  I am currently on Immuran and Asacal but it's not working so they say my next option is surgery (but that is not a good option since it effect me from stomach all the rest of the way) or Tysabri (new drug for Crohns).  The Tysabri can be helpful because I have MS also but I need to know how to handle the bathroom situation (doctors not a help).

Have you tried Immodium? It might really work for you. I have 3 small children myself and I know how it is when they want to play and you just can't risk an accident. It's no fun to have to make the mad dash to a restroom and hope you make it. Maybe you can get creative and find some fun things to do that are right where you live so. The good thing is, she's still little enough that just being with YOU is the fun part, not necessarily where you are. (((HUGS))) hang in there!!!

I agree with trying the Immodium.Are you in a flare? You may want to see if the GI thinks it's time for steroids,I know,I hate them too!!  Make sure you get good info on that Tysbari,it has some neurological side effects that sound pretty awful,my GI said at one point they were thinking about pulling it,not sure what's going on with that.Hang in there!!
