Humira Pen Malfunction - Frustrated

This is just a vent... I just tried to inject with my Humira pen and it malfunctioned.  I guess it was the spring mechanism because the needle never pierced my skin.  It just shot the medication against my stomach.  I am just so frustrated because I have been feeling like crap all day with the abdominal cramping and lethargy and I was really looking forward to feeling better for another two weeks.  Not that the pain was really all that bad, but my body just knew it was time for another dose.  And since it was my last pen I now have to wait for Humira to give me a replacement.  My pharmacy always takes at least two days to ship my medication to me.  I don't feel like dealing with my symptoms for another two days.  AND I'm going on a cruise in two weeks and I was going to be due for my next dose exactly one day before I was supposed to leave, but now that's not going to work. I'd rather not go through the hassle of trying to bring the medication on the ship (I don't think there are any refridgerators in the rooms).  I'll be seeing my doctor next week; I guess I will ask him about taking it a little early.  Have any of you ever injected more than twenty-four hours before you were due for your next dose? Do you think it would be a problem?

I agree. I would ask your GI if you can go back on your regular schedule after your late shot. I don't see why not...
