Have you contacted the maker of Humira to see if they have any kind of patient assistance program? I know many meds do have this as an option.

Yes, I am signed up. Go to the website and signup for the card. Then when it arrives you call in and they take particulars about your situation. I know the coverage is different depending on whether you have insurance or not and there is a cap. But check into it.

I have been unemployed for nearly a year due to my CD and associated complications, and I am on Humira for CD management. 

I was able to get on the Humira Patient Assistance Program due to my unemployment and lack of income.  I have had to move home with my parents, who financially support me.  That is why I was approved, because I have no income.  I'm not sure about your financial situation or your insurance situation, but this program has been an answer to my prayers for the last year!

I have been on the Humira patient assistance program, which has been providing my Humira FREE OF CHARGE for almost a year now.  The way it works is once you are approved for the program, you are approved for a period of one (1) year.  They assign a case manager to you and provide you with an ID # and the phone number that you call to schedule the delivery of the Humira.  They deliver a 3-month supply at a time. 

I was able to apply and get this assistance with the help of my doctor's office, so you may want to go to them first to ask them for their help, because they will need to provide the prescription for the Humira regardless.

My doctor suggested Humira for me but IDK if it is worth it, he also mentioned the posibility of lymphoma down the road, and after researching and finding out that it is a kind of cancer that scared the crap out of me! Or is that all just old news and all just hype? Do you guys think you have to be on the verge of another surgery to start this type of treatment, or what would be your deciding factor? I have about 1 flare up a month, and have a stricture forming. I am controlling it moderately so far with prednisone, but don't know how long that will last. I almost think that a surgery would be safer than Humira though. Any advice? Also feel free to email me [email protected] privately. Thx
