im moving foward. opening a store guys!

im new on here as most of you know.... heres a little background tho.

there has been talk about leaving the store im at to open myself as a competitor to them. i have put it on the back burner for a long time because i was being well taken care of for the last 6 years. welll that all changed, fast!

after getting sick for 2 months with no answers, loosing my dad unexpectedly, my mom needing emergency kidney surgery and being blessed from the owner with a $3 pay cut, extended hours and a cut to all overtime pay i started to look back into it.... and well being sick i mostly keep to my self and a few close friends and i wanted to share the news with my new support group, YOU!

i got the lease today. i just need to fine tune it a bit and im in bis!
i cant think of a name tho, i was wondering if any one had/could give me any ideas. (if allowed)

PS. i almost gave up all hope after the news of crohn's two weeks ago but i keep pushing! after reading a lot of everyone's stories i feel this is something i can do. i was feeling so alone before finding everyone here. i thank you all from my heart.

its a health food store.... going to have vitamins, health and beauty, tea, body building, w/f g/f and organic foods.

was thinking, the missing nutrients, nature's nook.....

Are you going to have employees? The reason I ask is there will be times when you are going to need the extra help. We all have those really bad days once in awhile. But I do wish you alot of luck in your new venture. Good for you!

Hi J-:

I just want to encourage you in your business endeavor.  My boyfriend who has both CD and Celiac opened a small business so he could have better control of his schedule and life.  I have tried to support him along the way and it is imperative to build some trusted staff to help you during flares.

There is a great need for sound nutritional support and maybe consider specializing in digestive, and autoimmune diseases? 

Good luck and I applaud your entrepreneurial spirit! I'll get back to you with any name suggestions.

Congrats, J! I wish you were near me. I'd come be one of your first employees!

I kinda like "nature's nook" or how 'bout "J's natural market". Whatever you choose, make it simple so it will be catchy! That's my 2 cents.... My little local store is called "green earth" and everyone calls it by that name. To see what is out there you can google any major city and put "health food stores" after the city's name. Lots of fun ones will come up along with the chain stores.

Health Haven, Gaia's Healing Foods, NutriFoods, The Good Health Food Store, Vitamins and More - those are just off the top of my head, but I am sure that some (all?) would be already in use somewhere.

How about Gesundheit Health Foods? It should be easy to remember... And it borrows from that children's clown doctor - Dr. Gesundheit.

EMom, "nature's nook" makes me think of the video game Animal Crossing. Tom Nook, extortionist extraordinaire, has a shop called Nook's Cranny. Congrats!! How exciting!! I was thinking "Health Nut" but I like your choice and going with the first letter in the book is smart!
I would love to open a bookstore.....maybe someday.
