Hukleberrie,
Have you ever tried stool softners. I have to take them everynight in order for me to go. They take a couple days to kick in but they work well for me. Just a thought.

Yup. I have been taking them a lot. When all this was going on, I was taking them twice a day & still no BMs.

Then you must have a stricture in there. I think if this is continued to let go on you are going to wind up in the ER with a complete obstruction and needing surgery. I hope you can get some way figured out how to get treated.. You really need treatement and if this doctor won't help you, you may need to find another. I do understand not having insurance, and I pray some way can be found to help you get the care you need.

I know something is up. It's been gradual, the constipation, but I go through waves of it.
A question... Doc said there was air in my bowels on the upper right side. That's just gas, right? & normal? He thinks there is still stool in the upper right from all the constipation lately...
Doc said to up the fiber, but I am already adding fiber & eating oatmeal & fiber yogurt & stuff... I don't think it's helping. I drink water like crazy too.
I guess I need to push one of my docs. Not sure what to do... My mom thinks things are just going to go south & I am going to end up in the hospital. I am a bit nervous about
the thought of that. I can't being much more sick than I was last week though & they still didn't admit me then, so maybe I am just nuts!

No sweetie you are not nuts, you are sick! As much as I hate to say it, your Mom may be right with the way your dumb docs are treating you. Yes you have air (gas) in your intestines, but wouldn't it be nice to know why you are constantly full of stool and gas. Sounds like some kind of stricture to me. I am actually thinking I have developed one myself with all the bloating and gas I have been having lately. Be gentle with yourself Hukleberrie, as I said you are not nuts, just sick........

I think maybe I am not FIRM to my doctors about
how horrible I feel. I know my PCP is very caring & knows something is up with me. He did tell me that he thinks I don't tell him everything. I guess I assume he knows I am ill when he gets stuff from urgent care & the er plus I have called a couple times... but I guess I forget some stuff, there is so much to tell. I think I am going to write everything down & fax it to him so he knows exactly how this month has been for me. If I get no where, maybe I will call down to the GI at the IBD clinic again & tell them I am having problems.
And woke up with a nice hemorrhoid. First external one I have had. It seems like one thing after another.

I think what you should do is keep a daily diary on how you are feeling. Number of bm's, pain levels (1-10), foods you ate and effects etc. That way you can show your doctor how you are feeling day to day. Please keep an eye on that hemmoroid. Maybe sure it doesn't have any surprises.
Good luck,

Surprises?!? What surprises does a 'roid have? I have never really had one before really. I had that "lesion" but that was different. I think it was an abscess...
I have kept a diary. I print out a calendar & have this last month's ordeal listed on it. I am going to fax that with the letter...
