I am a pretty regular bleeder. I just have a lot of ulceration in the rectal region and get a fair amount of bright red blood (not hemmoroids). It's always good to talk to your doctor when you experience a new symptom. In general I've just gotten used to the blood. (Though it seems to be less and less each month now that I'm 6 months into Cimzia!!!)
phoebeskye86-if you're bleeding that much (i have experienced that too), please mention it to your GI. Are you on any rectal meds? They make a big difference... I hemorrhaged and lost way too much blood a couple years bac. (I needed 2 units of blood and was still a little over one unit short - they left me to make on my own.) I don't mean to scare you - I just bring it up because it's worth seeing a doc over! Anyway, at the very least, you are probably pretty anemic, huh?
They let me make it back on my own too, that was a lot of fun. My primary doctor was quite surprised they didn't transfuse me, they said they were going to, but then decided I could just take iron pills. For months I felt like I couldn't breathe good, and would get soooo out of breath just from walking around my house. Just not enough blood to move the oxygen around I guess!
Serious bleeding is nothing to full around with!
