left lower pain

Hi All!

I am having lower left pain in my abdomen and on the side radiating to my back and sometimes its almost a burning sensation and other times it is like I'm being stabbed. Is this from my Crohn's, or could it be something else. Also on 75mg of 6mp and 15mg of pred and I am just flat out exhausted!!!!!! My hair is thinning and people are noticing. I don't know what to do. Guess I just need to vent.

I would suggest you call your doctor and discuss this pain. Not sure what it could be, but it could mean some inflammation in the area and might even be referred pain from another area. Best to bring it to your doctors attention. As for the thinning hair, that is very common when on 6mp and sometimes with the Pred. Many take additional Folic Acid to help slow the hairloss. Some even have added some Biotin to help. Hope that helps.

Thank you so much! It does help. Where can I find Biotin? It probably doesn't help that I work 2 jobs and I'm a single mom with 2 boys and I don't give my body time to rest and heal, but my jobs sometimes aren't the most understanding. I just worry about any pain because I let it go the first time and ended up in the hospital for a week

That pain location and type is also consistent with a urinary tract deal -- stone or infection. So a urine specimen test might help isolate the cause.

Biotin is a supplement you can find by the area that they sell vitamins and supplements.

Do you have crohn’s colitis / colonic crohn’s located in the colon? I do, and I have similar ‘left sided’ pain as you’ve described, that’s because its located on the left side…..
