Thanks to those who replied to me and gave their support..i appreciate you..i have been crying whining with my million and one posts about
setons and fistula's..turns out after my surgery today..i was allergic to the drain itself...and now have a silk thread..i feel so much better and the rash went right away..and the pain and the irritation..it was breaking my skin down until it bled...so thanks to all of you ...next week i should start my Remicade i was approved!

I am so glad you went to the doctor and he found the problem and fixed it!! Now you can relax and heal!!!

Oh how awful for you, it must of been so irritating and in such a delicate place too. I always wear rubber gloves washing dishes etc have you ever experienced a rash on your hands touching rubber? My Mother used to suffer from contact dermatitis and would wear cotton gloves to do housework, but I don't think she ever figured out what was causing the irritation.
I'm so happy for you that they have worked it out and your symptoms have eased.

fantastic news frogelita, i am so glad you've finally found some relief!! It must have been so painful having the seton wound AND an allergic reaction.

I know....everyone i was going crazy...the rash was spreading and it felt like it was inside of the anus too...i know i am allergic to latex..but they said it wasn't latex...i can't wear the rubber gloves...they do bother me...thank goodness my wound is starting to finally heal...relief has finally come! thanks for your support to all!
