dang holiday means fever for me..

I'm feeling you Randy.  I took my first trip last week, not feeling bad at all.  Went to visit my daughter at IU, have lunch then drive to Purdue and take my niece to dinner.  I was in so much pain and bloating by the time I got to Purdue, I was miserable.  Then drove to my sisters in Indy and had 102 fever the next morning.  Just doesn't pay to go anywhere or even try to have a life.  Now I have my first abscess and it's trying to break thru by my bellybutton.  I'm freaking.

Dang you two, you both need to tell your FHeads to go away!! Sending healing prayers to you both.

Randy, so sorry you have the ***** fever again, this stupid dz is so inconsiderate. Feel like I'm missing a third of my life. Hope you're feeling better soon.

i been ok in this life,, its not like i drown puppies or something...

last night i swear i was just flumoxed! first cold and in long Pj's, then hot with shorts and the fan on, then cold and wet from sweat, then sleeping on a towel, then covered up to my nose. it just dont make sense.. even when my CD was very active i did not have fevers like this.

there has to be something we are missing. some type of infection that is hiding somewhere etc.. even with my sepsis in may and the hospital, it never went much over 101. they were kinda doubting it till the blood culture came back positive..

fallcolors... nope thats been the whole thing, no other symptoms. not a sneeze, sniffle, cough, rash, neck pain, abdominal pain, of course after high fevers everyone gets a little achy and slow moving, but not like i want to die type things. and they have checked litteraly everything. i was even thinking a pituitary tumor or something but they explained i would probably be dead by now so kinda ruled that out. ( actually i just wanted a ct of my brain!) just to prove that i had one i guess '-)

Have you ever noticed tho - it seems that our flares so many times manage to start or be at their worst at night, on the weekends or long holidays?? And even on our doctors weekday off, out of the office or on their vacation or at some seminar or convention??

It always seemed that my Crohn's was NEVER at its worst when my doctor was in the office or easily available. And when I'm feeling sick and call for an appointment and am given an appointment yet that same day or the next day at the latest - its past and I'm feeling fine - or at least decent - by the time I walk into his/her office.

I once told my family doctor I wasn't going to call for an appointment anymore when I was feeling rotten. I was just going to climb in my car and drive to his office. By the time I pulled into his parking lot I'd be feeling better and could thus save myself an office call.

oh yeah ive always been that way... anytime there are plans made or something ill get a fever or before id end up with an operation or some thing.

For me its the full moon. I start to feel warm and fuzzy all over and then the pain starts in my finger nails and ,,,and,,ohh,ahhhh,,, thats another kind of illness,, oops sorry. I think you need to get sniffed all over by a Labrador retriever or a Persian cat Rando. Lab work and a cat scan might find the cause. I dont make plans either because Murphy is always waiting for that. Hope you feel better soon. In my case I know why I am being punished but why good people have this DD,,,I just dont understand..

Hey Randy sorry bout your troubles...

i had 103 temp last year for about a week before i went to the hospital. i had just started taking Humira and it crashed my immune system so hard that i got histoplasmosis and was in the hospital for 13 days. I still had a minor fever when i went home. anyway I had the same type of fevers soo hot then cold and sweaty. They did about every test imaginable to me including a spinal tap to find out that it was histoplasmosis. I hope that you get better and have nothing to do with histo it is quite nasty. But my symptoms were just like yours and wanted to share.
