Hi all,

I have not been officially diagnosed with Crohn's (working through that based on blood work that showed markers for Crohn's) but I was wondering about something.  about 1.5 years ago I developed this rash on both my hands.  Itchy (with pus) red, bumpy rash mainly between my fingers and around my knuckles.  I went to a dermatologist who diagnosed some kind of eczema and gave me some cream.  It took a while (like months awhile) but it went away.  Around a year ago is when I started having bowel issues.  Now, just in the past week or so I noticed the rash coming back on my right hand (not yet my left).  Is it possible this could be another symptom of Crohn's?  If so, maybe of a flare coming up?  I'm so confused about this disease and I don't even know if I have it or not! confused

Thanks for your input - I mainly read posts but everyone seems very helpful!

Could be related to Crohns flares, or maybe it is another autoimmune disease. For me a general clue a flareup is coming is increased joint pain. So in your case its possible that the rash is a sign of a flare coming. Good luck!

Thanks for the information - unfortunately the link didn't work (says the page is no longer available).  I really feel like I have Crohn's but it is taking forever for confirmation.  I had a colonoscopy (no biopsies) in January - clean except some internal hemmies.  I had a small bowel series done - clean.  I just had an upper endoscopy with biopsies.  I suspect that will be clean as well but have to wait until October 8th for my follow up (I just tried calling the doctor for results and they won't give them to me over the phone).  They want to do the pill cam but my insurance denied coverage.  I personally think I need another colonoscopy (with biopsies this time!) so we'll see what happens.  Anyway, I appreciate the help! :-)
