steroids and balloons.oh my!

hey randynoguts, I'm sorry to hear this. I have seen your posts around this site, so I guess I'm not exactly new here either. Troubles near the anastomosis I take it? I seem to be having some inflammation in my colon, which seems to be backing me up a little bit too. Weird cause it does not feel that close to my connection site.  I have found some relief using a stool softener along with increasing my crohn's medications. I hear endoscopic dilations can be effective if they are able to do it properly. Maybe they want to reduce some of the inflammation first before dilating? Good luck getting better, God bless.

Cam, nope. nowhere near my only remaing anastamosis. its at the junction of the sigmoid and rectal vault. right where it makes the 90 degree turn. and i sure dont need a stool softener! . thats not the problem... what we figure is the stricture is not letting even fluids past most of the time. when it does its small amounts . my normal for years has been the total opposite. large volumes under great speed and pressure.

Hmom, me too! i just hope it wont be a blowout.
