Shoulder Pain

I just had my first treatment of Remicade on Friday.  Today I woke up and I am have really bad pain in both my shoulders.  My arms are feeling very heavy and is making it very hard to do my job today.

Question - Could this be a result of the Remicade or possibly just the lovely joint pains we get with CD?  I had some Arthritis Tylanol about a half an hour ago and it is doing nothing.

I just recently had infusion and then reaction to it 7 days later with joint pain. My left shoulder pain is what is lngering the longest. So far i was on prednisone and have just tapered off as of yesterday. Pain is worse now with out it but I think it's not really a long term option. Even with the pain meds I recently had in the hospital for 4 days, I really think the only thing that seemed to make it go away was the prednisone. I don't even bother with the Tylenol anymore. Something my Rhematologist had me take for was meloxicam during flare ups. I may have to talk with them to c bout it again. Good luck!

Tylenol is acetaminophen, no? Therefore, it is not a NSAID.... One of the very few that might be safe to use that are non-narcotic.

I don't know if you have diarrhea, but if you don't, turmeric extract (90-95% curcmin compounds) is what helps my miscellaneous pains. It is a great anti-inflammatory, but if you have D, it can cause the "ring of fire" effect on exit. Some here use it to control their Crohn's symptoms too. I recently stopped using it for two days and the result was a nasty return of aches and fatigue, so I restarted it again and am feeling better.
