6mp question

Has anyone ever had 6mp stop working for them??? I am on that and lialda and lately I have seen a little blood sometimes and I am getting stomach pains and nausea after i eat. Just wondering if it might have stopped working

I have only been on 6mp for 5 months and I refuse to go back on prednisone again. I had horrible side effects from it. I am scheduled to go back to the dr in january but wondering if I should wait?

I have been on 6MP for over a decade at various doses. Your doctor can send your blood to Prometheus to check what your therapeutic level is, basically to see if your dosage is high enough to help you. Usually the dose is tailored to your weight but sometimes it needs to be adjusted and the only sure way to tell is by blood work. If I were you, I would see if your doctor could see you sooner and ask to have some blood work done. It is a simple step, but make sure your insurance will pay. It costs several hundred dollars, so beware.
