I'm home!!

After 11 days, 10 nights I'm finally home from the hospital. It's almost a bit surreal. Around the clock care and then poof you are out. I think I'm okay. I have a little pain in the lower right side, same place as usual, but not sharp or shooting, just dull. I'm going to be on entocort, flagyll, and levaquin plus remicade when the time comes again. I'm still a little scared at this point. Was hoping to go home with no pain at all, but I do feel a lot better, just scared of surgery. Anyway, just an update. Hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!!

This last time I was in the hospital I realized it was a little strange going home after being in the hospital for 12 days. You get used to someone always being there when you really needed help, and strangely you get used to people coming in and out of your room. Like you said, all the sudden you're suddenly quite alone. I got home and freaked out a little, thinking something might happen and they weren't just down the hall within a button's push away. (I had blood clots in my lungs, had it been for CD I probably would not-I'm experienced in Crohn's related hospitalization). It's not abnormal to go home still in some pain though. As long as the pain meds they gave you are working, you should be ok. I hope you feel much better soon!

Yeah you are finally home! Do be sure to take it easy and not overdo. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

I guess I didn't think to ask about the Levaquin, they were giving it to me in the hospital. I'm only taking if for 10 days. Another one that was REALLY expensive.
