You feel like you have to go but then sit on the toilet for 5 minutes and can't go.

Then, 5 minutes later, you can barely hold it long enough to make it to the toilet. You sit there another 5 minutes, hoping to get it all out. You think you do, so you go back to life.

Another 5 minutes later, more has worked its way down and you have to go again! But at least this sitting isn't as long.

Then finally you're done for a while!

Then there are those of us that don't have those types of issues, just agonizing pain, nausea, fever, weight loss etc etc- which is why we baffle the docs and have a difficult time getting diagnosed.. because typically there are BM issues...don't get me wrong, depending what area of the intestines the flare is in , I have had those issues, but they are not the norm for me

GDen, that very closely describes what it's like for me, unfortunately it's not often that after 2 episodes that I'm done for a while, maybe only a short while...it's also not often that I feel like I have to go and nothing comes out, unless I have rectal involvement (proctitis).
