Oh yes, indeedy, there are many and varied advantages. More than the mere ability to part a stationary crowd like Moses with the Red Sea (I'll not mention any names, I can't rely on my good luck to ensure he misses me twice in a week !
)
1./ Play our cards right, our family might hang a flatscreen TV in the wee room, thus ensuring we really can complain about
c*** television at Christmas.
2./ If I hadn't spent so much time on the porcelain telephone, I would not be half the educated derelict that I am today. I have read countless books and scientific articles, and encountered many novel and mindbending ideas in the khazi - truly a seat of learning !
3./ Having this disease has forced me to learn about
diet, and eat only healthy foods lacking in modern/traditional, health-eroding rubbish. It has also led me to take up gardening (to grow my own fruit and vegetables) which in turn has led me to make friends and enjoy a very wholesome, incredibly satisfying hobby.
4./ The inability to work forced upon me has allowed me time to reflect and devote my scarce energies towards good causes (not the least of which is personal development).
5./ And of course having Crohns leads us all to this forum, where we can all learn what good poetry is !
Welcome to Healingwell, tboy, mine is an Assam, no sugar, with oat milk please !
