Pentasa and bloating

I have been on Pentassa for 6 years. My stomach is always hard and bloated. Can anyone help me re: reducing the bloaring?

I was also terribly bloated while on pentasa... whether this was due to the medication itself or the fact that it wasn't working to control my crohns isn't clear. I was even bloated when I wasn't eating or eating very little... Now I'm on imuran and tapering off of prednisone and I'm no longer bloated unless I eat something that disagrees with me. Good luck!

Well thanks they have taken me of asacole put me on PENTASA about a week now i dont think it agrees with me either been bloated and lower back pain At firat thought it was due to a spine problem i have but now i see it could be PENTASA also anxiety when your whole body seems to tence upi think thats what anxiety is ?? dont have the big (D) MINE IA CONSTIPATION put me on MOVICOLE for that seems to be easing the sit: but the mucas has come back (icky icky) will be speaking to my GP this evening should i ask him if i can go back on asacole???? against the hospital instructions Get a lot of discomfort in the bum aerea more of an ache Sorry if this seems a bit jumbled have to write it as i think of it BEV thanks for giving me your msm number but idont have that not very comp: literate pity we cant put e mail on here have not had a chance to find a FOREVER LIVING ALOAVERE AGENT YET BUT WILL ASAP THANKS for listening tedxx

Don't know if its stronger or weaker, I believe its one of the "older" drugs so think that sometimes Rheumy's seem to overlook it. I don't believe that stronger is always better, talk to your Rheumy and ask, it may depend on where the restriction is or if you have any other auto immune. Think we should all question more than we do.
