Dose any one with Crohn's have problem with digest food

I have had crohns for the last 20 years and never had any promblem eating any kinds of food....
Now thats all i am having i really cant eat any thing ... So the Doctors put me on a low fat diet but that isnt working and they put me on regland i think that is how it is spelled anyways it is suppost to digest the food,,,, but nope not working so if there is anyone out there that is having the same problem please let me no what you are doing mybe it will help me

When my CD was active, almost all raw or barely cooked fruits and vegetables came out pretty much like it went in. I ate lots of chiken, cooked potatoes, pasta, and rice. Fried foods sent EVERYTHING rushing through me so I learned I couldn't eat anything fried. The best way to combat the problem is to get the CD under control. Are you having other symptoms besides difficulty digesting food?

Welcome! I agree with the other person. Digestive enzymes and probiotics are great. All raw vegs and fruit, fried food, nuts, seeds, skins, strings and dairy cause problems for most of us. My digestive ability has improved immensely with enzymes, probiotics and L-Glutmanine. My physician ordered a stool kit before and after. The first showed I wasn't digesting meat and veg fiber. The second showed they were being broken down. I think it was called complete stool kit. There are four vials taken over 3 days at home and then they are picked up by FedEx. I gained 6 pounds and the pressure and bloating disapeared. Every person has slightly different experience and may need a different approach. It cost me $325 and was worth every penny. Only you and your doc have the full picture, but it is something your doc may consider. Good luck.

I am not flaring because the doctors said my crohn's was doing good.... i have always been on a low fat diet i dont frie my food i only eat the stuff that is chewable ... and i have had the scope done like 3 months ago but i go back to the doctor in feb i guess we will know more about what is going on..

I alson take that reglan but it dosnt work for me i dont think so we will see what new med they will put me on next month... i hate trying to find the med that will work for you thats the only thing that i can say is badd with crohns is the med trying to find the one that will help you out ...
