Anyone else get anal leakage?

 Hey guys. I've been having anal leakage for about 6 months now. My BM's are pretty solid (1-2 a day) but after a BM I get this leakage every time. I have to go back to the bathroom and wipe 2-3 times after a BM until it subsides. Some days its not bad at all, some days its worse.
   The only time I get relief is after a shower or if I take a nice sitz bath. Then I'm good till the next BM.
   I do have inflammation in my rectum and mild erythema(inflammation) in my anal canal, plus some roids here and there, but this leakage is annoying and it makes my anal area burn after a while.
   My doctor really had nothing to say about it. Anyone else have this issue or any ideas about it? Its really annoying.

PS - He checked around my opening but found nothing. Says my sphincter muscle is good. What is it? Could it be a fistula inside my anal opening?

Yup since ive been diagnosed sometimes its better than others but i have never been completely free of it...16 years now.

Wow. Seems like a few of you have had this issue for a long time with no relief. Thats what I was afraid of. It is the most annoying symptom for me. Don't think I could ever get used to something like this.

I have that happen on an off. I found that keeping some moist wipes in my purse helps keep the irritation down. I also put some hydrocortizone cream on at night. It is normal for me to always wipe my bum when I go the bathroom.

yes I have that problem too. It is so annoying and the big thing that bothers me is I am never clean and fresh down there or that there is this lingering smell. I am so paranoid that others smell it too but I think its just me that can sense it. I always wear a thin pad and always have a piece of tissue or guaze tucked up in there. It does not help things in the intimacy department, thats for sure...It makes me so paranoid and self-conscience.

This unfortunately is my biggest problem with my CD. I had a fistulotomy years ago and I'm pretty sure that's where/when the problem began. I've attempted pretty much everything. Through my research though, I found you can try to strengthen the muscles doing Kegel exercises. Heck, they say the exercises help out your sex life as well; so it's a win-win situation I guess!

I never had any success. I'm a 28 y/o male that dropped out of college because I was so self-conscious about my odor (eventually got my degree though). Although through diet and exercise I think the smell isn't AS strong as it used to be, I'm definitely still not "cured." Preparation-H Medicated wipes have been my friend for the past year! lol. I take a lot of baths and for peace of mind I use spray-deodorant on the area after I go to the bathroom. Even though it doesn't work, helps my confidence a bit..

I've been to 3 doctors in regards to this problem and all one suggested was the "Carbon Filtered Underwear" which I personally do not feel like doing. Apparently the carbon insert in these underwear helps to filter flatulence.... I want the problem fixed, not covered up.

Yes, I have this leakage also. My leak started after fistulatomy 2 years ego, but my son who never had any surgeries down there, also has a leak and irritation.

I have to go back and wipe again after about 5 min. Non scented baby wipes are always with me. I found using Calmoseptine cream helps a lot with burning and itch, I keep a tube in every bathroom of the house and in my pocket.
