IV cyclosporine or fibrin glue for treatment of fistula

Has anyone tried either of these? I have a rectovaginal fistula, and my doctor has told me about IV cyclosporine, which requires a 5-7 day hospital stay, and has a 50 percent success rate. I've been taking Humira since May 09, and just added 6MP in January, but it takes 3 months to start working. I've had bad reactions to Flagyl and Cipro, so I won't be taking those again. I've also been thru Remicade and Cimzia, before Humira.

A surgeon has suggested Fibrin glue as a method to fill in the fistula, but I don't know much about it - whether it's temporary or permanent, how successful it is.

I would appreciate stories of anyone's experiences, or other information they may have. Thanks!

i had a plug put in that did not work - caused infection and had to be taken out, i was then put on strong antibiotics for the infection that caused c-diff.-lost 40 lbs. flagyl was used to treat c-diff - bad reaction to flagyl. had fistulaomy in october 09 - still recovering from it - wound heal is only about 85%. Hope you have better luck with Fibrin glue.

had the glue tried a couple times, for my abdominal fistula , but it had too much pressure and wetness and did not stick and blew out. but worth a try i think.
